Super Bowl XLII: Best Odds, Props for Your Money

After nearly two weeks of digging a tunnel through the mountain of Super Bowl bets available this week, I’ve put together a little package that represents what I think are the best odds on the market.

The pointspread: Giants +11.5. This might jump back up toward 13 or so by Super Bowl Sunday, but if it didn’t, I’d still take Big Blue at this price.

What will happen first for Eli Manning? Throw a TD pass (-145) is a much better value than Throw an Interception (+115). Manning has eight TD passes and one pick since Week 16.

Will Jabar Gaffney score a Touchdown? Yes (+150) is a choice cut. Gaffney has TD catches in five of the last eight games. He wasn’t targeted at all in Week 17; the tea leaves say he will be this Sunday.

The first score of the game will be? Field goal or safety (+155). These are the same odds as what the first Patriots score will be, even though the Giants have a lot fewer TDs this year.
